Silver Belle is a 2018 Bowlus Road Chief - On The Road® Edition travel trailer, having a Polished Aircraft Aluminum exterior and a Red Rock interior with custom blackout shades. She is in immaculate condition, having been on two camping trips and a trip to the factory for full service last year, while being garaged the rest of the time. She is slim and slippery, in fact the most aerodynamic of all travel trailers, ideal for towing with smaller or electric vehicles.
The Bowlus Road Chief - On The Road® Edition features our classic signature interior, pairing clever design elements with enduring and timeless style. You’ll discover an interior sheathed in aluminum and birch, hugging the aerodynamic curves with symmetrically positioned exposed screws. Add on a full-sized comfortable sofa and two armchairs available in six stunning color themes, and the result is a floor plan that works equally well whether you’re sharing tapas with friends or enjoying a romantic dinner.
The forward galley is a real cook’s kitchen, boasting an Italian cooktop with a folding glass top that extends counter space. The fridge/freezer holds enough for a long weekend of gourmet cooking. There’s a microwave and storage for all your kitchen needs, along with two handy shelves and a large kitchen drawer. The sink is topped with a designer faucet with spray head that’s handy in the kitchen and can extend far enough to rinse off sandy feet outside the trailer before entering.
The bathroom interior is beautifully finished in waterproof aluminum sheathing and teak decking. You’ll find plenty of storage across the way in a tall clothes closet, toiletries cupboard, and two shelves with sliding doors. The bathroom vanity also contains a sink with faucet, and you can enjoy showering either inside or outside your Road Chief.
In the stateroom, you’ll find sumptuous linens and a very comfortable 6” mattress – both included with purchase - plus a stylish night table and handy under-the-bed storage.
When your creative juices start flowing, you’ll be thrilled the On The Road® Edition is a technology powerhouse that readily supports the development of your next great idea. High efficiency LED reading lights and easily accessible power outlets are spread throughout the Road Chief, making work comfortable wherever you are, and the built-in inverter lets you plug in even when there’s no outside power connection available. An advanced AGM battery provides plenty of power, and a smart 120-watt optional solar panel stashed away in the wardrobe closet allows you to augment your power supply naturally. Next to the sofa is a clever built-in charging station for laptops, tablets, and cellular devices – another Road Chief first – and the On The Road® Edition is outfitted with a cellular booster with antenna that will snag you a few more bars of power when you’re running low.
Our smart technologies extend beyond power sources to the Road Chief’s unique combined hot water and heating system, which delivers optimal comfort with quiet, natural, even distribution. The intelligent thermostat offers multiple programming options to ensure you have heat when you want it, and the fully heated floors (another Bowlus first!) operate regardless of how you’re plugged in. (Translation: no more whining over who’s hogging the booming vent to warm their icy toes.) Even monitoring levels is easy, with centrally located control panels making it a snap to adjust the heater and inverter/charger or check levels in the propane, fresh, and grey water tanks.
At Bowlus Road Chief, we excel at design innovation, and you'll find each On The Road® Edition jam-packed with ingenious design elements. Case in point: the Road Chief can easily sleep four when the outdoor café table is inserted between the dining chairs to create a fourth berth, but that same café table is also removable, making dining al fresco a snap. The external awning can attach to either side of the Road Chief so you can get creative when you set up camp. The mid-cabin area is a marvel of efficiency that starts with a unique door system that allows for a full size bathroom with stunning shower that expands to 3' x 5' according to your needs. The toilet has an innovative design that allows for a quick and easy removal of black water waste in a sealed container, eliminating the need for a less-than-lovely sewage hose.
In the On The Road® Edition stateroom, the twin V-beds with under-bed storage convert in a snap to an optional king package for a bed that's roomy enough for every couple. The separate bedroom gives additional privacy through the unique door system and provides an excellent noise reduction barrier from other areas of the Road Chief.
